Tina A Johnson

Tina A. Johnson, a beacon of kindness and faith, passed away peacefully on July 19, 2025, in Downers Grove, IL. Born on February 27, 1953, in Chicago, IL, Tina's warm smile and generous spirit were nurtured from a young age, qualities that she carried throughout her life. She was a treasured member of the community, known to all as Tina, and will be deeply missed by those whose lives she touched.

Tina was the loving wife of Richard Johnson, her devoted partner in life's journey.  She was the mother of the late Christine Shock and Frank W. Shock (Adina). Tina's nurturing heart extended to her adored grandchildren, Michael Shock, Daniel Shock, and Elliana Shock, who will carry the memory of her unconditional love and support with them always.

Tina dedicated her life to caring for others. After earning her Bachelor of Science in Nursing, she served her community as a compassionate Registered Nurse. Her caring hands and soothing presence brought comfort and healing to countless individuals over her illustrious career. Tina was not only a professional caregiver but also a cherished friend to many, always ready with a kind word or a helping hand.

Her commitment to service extended beyond her professional life. Tina was beloved member of Marquette Manor Baptist Church in Downers Grove, IL. Her faith was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her actions and inspiring those around her. In her faith community, Tina was a shining example of what it means to live a life of devotion and love.

Tina's personality was the embodiment of friendliness, her soul was faith-filled, and her heart was infinitely kind. She approached every day with a positive spirit and a belief in the goodness of people. Her legacy is one of endurance through suffering, knowing that a better city was prepared for her by her Savior.

As we bid farewell to Tina A. Johnson, we celebrate a life beautifully lived. Her hope points her family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to have felt the warmth of her presence to One who saved her from her sins. Tina's story is not one of sadness, but a testament to a life brimming with love, service, and the grace of a woman who truly made a difference in the world.
