Born on February 17, 1929, in Flora, IL, Shirley lived a life marked by love, kindness, and a steadfast faith. She was the beloved wife of the late Rutcherd M. Johnson Jr., and together they shared a lifetime of cherished memories.
A matriarch in the truest sense, Shirley was a loving and devoted mother to Rutcherd (Traci) Johnson III and Sharon (Rob) Peterson. Her guidance and nurturing spirit were the cornerstones of her family. She imparted wisdom and compassion to her children, laying a foundation of integrity and kindness that has been passed down through the generations.
Shirley's role as a grandmother was one, she embraced with joy and pride. She was the cherished grandmother to Lauren (Ethan) McCammack , Micah (Dana) Peterson, Nicole (Clayton) Todd, Andrew Peterson, Tyler Peterson and Rutcherd (Abby) Johnson IV, Teagan (Tristan) Nicks, Taylor (Olivia) Johnson, and Rylan Johnson. Her love knew no bounds and extended to her great-grandchildren, whom she adored. Shirley's legacy of love will continue to live on through her eleven great-grandchildren, each of whom brought her immense joy.
