Sara 'Sadie' Hamil, 91, left this life in the early morning hours of November 27, 2021, with family at her side to bless her with love into her new journey. Waiting with open arms, to make her transition easier, were her loving husband, Donald A. Hamil and daughter Alexa Miotti. Sadie was blessed to be called mother, and mother-in-law, to Rob (Diane) and the late Alexa (Chris) Miotti. As her family grew to include her cherished grandchildren Adam Hamil and Abigail (Dave) Nowakowski and great-grandchildren, to whom she was fondly referred to as G.G, Bryce and Brecken Nowakowski, her love grew exponentially. Included in her circle of love were 7 siblings, numerous nieces and nephews, and countless friends.

Along the path of her life, Sadie accomplished many things including being crowned the Queen of Fulton County, PA at the age of 18, waitressing at Savoia's Restaurant in Chicago Heights, and eventually owning Mokena Liquors. When a change was calling her name, she moved to Las Vegas, NV where she lived for over 30 years. There, she became the penny slot queen at Rampart Casino. Throughout her life she loved to spend time with family and friends. Her humor and laughter filled hearts during her life and hopefully will help mend the brokenness left behind by her absence.

Inurnment, when she will be joined again with her husband Donald, will take place at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery (20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421) on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at 11:00 A.M. Luncheon to follow. **PER REQUEST OF THE VA ADMINISTRATION, PERSONS WHO HAVE BEEN VACCINATED FOR A PERIOD OF AT LEAST 2 WEEKS ARE NOT REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK. ALL OTHER PERSONS ARE STILL REQUIRED TO WEAR A MASK.**
