Mary (Smith) Williams, age 81, passed away Friday morning, October 30, 2020. She was born December 11, 1938 in Chicago, IL to the late Martin Rosson, Jr. and Ernestine Nolan.
Mary was the loving wife of the late Albert E. Williams. She loved children and bore 5 boys. She was preceded in death by her son, Antonio and leaves to mourn her sons Albert, Robert, Terrance (Kris) and Carl. She also leaves to mourn 13 grandchildren, four great grandchildren, her siblings Lucy, Rosa, Karen, Dwyla, Marilyn, Elizabeth, Juanita, Patricia, Lillie, as well as siblings Ruby, Esther, Sydney, Stanley, Travis, Carl and William, all who preceded her in death, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Mary worked for the Chicago Transit Authority and the Chicago Board of Education. She was a devout Christian and loved traveling, crossword puzzles and spending time with friends and loved ones. Mary was always there for friends and family and often opened her home as a place of refuge for those in need.
Mary was laid to rest on Tuesday, November 10, 2020 in a private ceremony attended by her sons and grandchildren.
