Mark Anthony Ramirez, known affectionately as Anthony to his friends and family, passed away on February 4, 2026, at the age of 61 in Bolingbrook, IL. Born on December 16, 1964, in San Nicolas, Pangasinan, Philippines. Mark's life was a testament to the power of love, kindness, and perseverance, qualities that defined and endeared him to all who knew him.
Mark was the beloved son of Marcelino and the late Corazon Ramirez. His life was one of devotion: as a loving husband to Bernadette, a cherished father to Mikaela and Joshua, and a caring brother to Rhommel Ramirez, Pinky Oreas, Marianne Delos Santos, and Janmar Ramirez. He was a respected brother-in-law to Nolan Oreas, Rey Delos Santos, Kath Ramirez, and Clelo Ramirez and the beloved son-in-law to Ricardo and Genedina Baera. His gentle spirit and generous heart were the cornerstones of the family, and his legacy will live on through the love and memories he shared with them.
Throughout his life, Mark exemplified the phrase “staying true to your beliefs” and working in the shadows. Though naturally introverted, he worked hard to ensure his family would be in a good place and helped provide a space where they could be comfortable. Guided by his work and his Christian faith, he lived his values with humility and compassion, putting the well-being of his family above all else.
Mark's passions were many and varied, but above all, he found joy in the simple yet peaceful pleasures of life. He liked to go on camping/fishing trips as well as long drives to explore new places with his family. He also had a passion for music that he shared with his family through DJ-ing and other instruments such as the guitar and piano. He took a lot of thought into everything he did, writing as much as he could about knowledge he had learned in the various notebooks that he owned. His kindness was not just a trait, but a way of life as he always tried to push for the best option even if the one he chose was not.
Mark's journey on this planet may have come to an end, but his spirit continues to inspire and guide us. As we say our final goodbyes, we take comfort in knowing that Mark's love will forever be a beacon of hope and a reminder to live with the same compassion and warmth that he so generously shared. Mark Anthony Ramirez will be deeply missed, but the memories he created will be cherished by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Visitation for Mark will be held on Monday, February 16, 2026, from 4 PM until the time of his funeral service at Friendship United Methodist Church, located at 305 E Boughton Road, Bolingbrook, IL 60440. It will be a time for those who knew and loved him to gather in remembrance and celebration of his life.
