Loretta A (Marek) Pozniak

Loretta Pozniak, nee Marek, age 90 made her ascent to heaven on December 4, 2020. Born October 26, 1930 in Indiana, Loretta spent her life between Illinois and California before settling in Oswego, IL. She was a dedicated employee of Illinois Bell, working as

 a phone operator for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Karl and Mary Marek and her siblings Edmund Marek, Ceil Gatewood, Frances Borowski, and Genevieve Nowoj and survived by her sister Eleanor Halka. 

Loretta was the cherished mother of Kevin Pozniak, Lorain Rice, and Laura Marek and loving grandmother to Brittany Rice and Mia Marx. She was a devout Christian who found solace in her faith on a day-to-day basis. She will be remembered for her humor, wit, and love for a good bargain. May her soul rest in peace.
