Jesus Flores

Jose de Jesus Flores Flores aka Chuy/Jesse, 69, passed away peacefully at home on 7/4/18 after a brief battle with multiple illnesses.

He was preceded in death by his beloved 1st wife Socorro, his parents Gabino & Maria del Refugio "Cuca" & his brother Raul.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife - Kristi, sons & stepsons - Juan, Jesus I., Dennis & Todd, grandchildren, brothers & sisters - Tony, Luis (Lorenza), Jose (Karen), Margarito (Cindy), Maria (Gonzalo), Carmen (Marco) & Josefina (Juan), extended family & cherished friends.

Jesus was a professional boxer for Mexico in the 60s & 70s with 100 fights & only 5 losses. After moving his family to the US in the late 70s, he worked in various jobs including tire retreading which he did for more than 25 years.

Jesus was known for his kindness & quick sense of humor.

He loved music, especially romantic Mexican songs from the past (Los Dandys, Juan Gabriel, Los Panchos) & often sang, playing his guitar.

He enjoyed biking with his wife, gardening & perusing Goodwill & garage sales looking for treasures.

He also loved food - Russell's BBQ ribs, strawberry sundaes, mojarra & he had fond memories of his mother's biria & his 1st wife's tortillas.

He loved animals, owning & caring for many over the years & is sorely missed by his cat that he named Ruby.

A memorial service will be held for Jesus at Delgado Funeral Chapel in Joliet on September 22, 2018 from 2-4 with the service beginning at 2:30. Bring your memories to share.
