Jerrod Cook, of Bolingbrook, Illinois, passed away on Monday, July 29th, 2024, after a lifelong battle with kidney disease. Jerrod is preceded in death by his father, Paul R Cook.
Jerrod is survived by his wife, Sandra Cook and their two sons, Braden and Bryce, of Bolingbrook, Illinois. Jerrod is also survived by his mother, Linda Cook of Bolingbrook, Illinois, his brother, Jason (Kathleen) Cook of Concord, North Carolina, sister Amelia (Michael) Both of Wheaton, Illinois, brother-in-law Louie (Annjel) Amador of Pulaski, Virginia, sisters-in-law Laura (Edward) Conniff of Austin, Texas, Deborah (Freddie) Ruiz of Sunray, Texas, Brenda Fiest of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Bridget (Curtis) Shavers of Bixby, Oklahoma, niece Monika (Richard) Flores, nephews Kyle and Ryan Both, and niece Elizabeth Cook, as well as many more nieces, nephews and cousins.
Jerrod will be remembered for his love of cooking, music, Legos, sports, and his love for family. Jerrod loved the St. Louis Cardinals, the Minnesota Vikings, and the Boston Celtics, which may seem random, but fell in line with his favorite all-time sports idols, Ozzie Smith, Herschel Walker, and Larry Bird. Jerrod’s music taste was very eclectic, and it was almost a game trying to figure out if he wanted Beasties, Megadeath, or the Eagles to play first on the playlist. Jerrod was always up for a party, even when not feeling well, and his passion for life will live on in the lives of everyone who knew him.
Memorial Visitation will be held on August 8th, 2024, from 3pm-5pm with A Celebration of life service at 5PM at Care Cremation 33 E. Montrose Drive Romeoville, IL 60446
