Helen C Payne

Helen Hicks Payne, nee Kadolph, age 70 of Bolingbrook, IL, passed away peacefully on August 10, 2025 with family and friends by her side.

Helen was the loving wife of Donald Hicks; loving sister to David, Charles (Lisa), Joseph (Lynn), Gerald (Stacy), Patricia, Daniel (Nora), Paul, Ben (Dalia), Katharine, Andrew (Stefanie), and Stephen (Kathleen). She was the cherished mother of William (Helen), Nathaniel Sr. (Michelle), and Elyse (Ryan). Helen was the devoted Grandmother to Jailene (Alejandro), Caleb, Nathaniel Jr., Landon, and Rylan; Great Grandmother to Raymond.  She was the fond Aunt of David (Brianne), Anabella, Hailyanne, Kristine (Arvin), Madeline, Lana, Ryan, Adam, Daniel, Michael, Zachery, Alexander, Jacob, Natalia, Lucas, Samantha, Nicholas, John, Alice and Anne.

She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Patricia Kadolph, her husband Donald Hicks and her brothers, Charles and Bernard and her sister Mary.

Helen will be remembered for her warmth, kindness, and the love she poured into her family. Her memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
