Eugene W. Vaughn

Eugene “Gene” Vaughn of Crest Hill, IL, formerly of Mendota, Burbank, and Chicago IL, went home to be with the Lord on April 26th, 2018 at Age 87 surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his wife Shirlee Vaughn (Williams), two sisters, Leona Gambrel and June (Richard) Keely, His daughter Amy Llyn Vaughn, 3 sons, Gene(Debbie) Vaughn, David(Fern) Vaughn, Gregg (Monica) Vaughn, as well as 15 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, John and Anna Vaughn (Stinnett), two Brothers William “Bill” (Mary) Vaughn, Ken(Diane) Vaughn, two half-brothers, Fred Kurgan, and Timothy Kurgan and one grandson, Dustin Vaughn.

Visitation will be held at Blackburn-Giegerich-Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd Joliet, IL, Thursday May 3rd from 3PM to 7PM, Interment will be Friday May 4th at 1030AM at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 W. Hoff RD, Elwood, IL.
