Edward "Ed" J Marcquenski

Edward "Ed" J. Marcquenski, a cherished soul known for his warmth and unwavering kindness, passed away peacefully on November 23, 2025, at the age of 87 in Frankfort, IL. Born on March 11, 1938, in Chicago, IL, Ed's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the enduring power of love.

Ed was a beacon of light to his family, the loving husband of the late Phyllis (nee Zink) Marcquenski, whose memory he held close to his heart. His legacy lives on through his devoted children, Rebecca J. (Ken) Moss and Peter E. (Melissa) Marcquenski, who will forever remember his guidance and gentle wisdom. Ed's role as a grandfather was one of his most treasured, as he showered Kayley A. Marcquenski, Kendall J. Moss, Kyla R. Moss, and Kara L. Moss with affection and pride.

A beloved brother-in-law to Kathy Gilmer, Ed's presence was a source of joy and comfort in her life. His role as a fond uncle extended to numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, each of whom felt the unique touch of his kindness. Ed's family circle was wide and loving, a testament to the man who stood at its center.

Ed's journey began as the son of Edward Sr. and Mary Marcquenski and grew to encompass a world filled with laughter, learning, and love. While his brothers Ronald, and sister-in-law Gail Marcquenski, and Dale Gilmer preceded him in death, the memories they shared will continue to inspire and comfort those they left behind.

A man of faith and community, Ed's life was marked by his unwavering commitment to both. His gentle spirit and generous heart impacted many, leaving a legacy that will be cherished and honored by all who had the privilege of knowing him. The memory of Edward "Ed" J. Marcquenski will be celebrated with a memorial visitation on Monday, December 29, 2025, from 3 PM until the time of service at 6 PM at Hickory Creek Church in Frankfort, IL. The service will be a time for family and friends to gather, share stories, and honor the extraordinary life of a man who was truly loved. 

Ed's departure from this world leaves a void that can never be filled, but his influence will continue to be felt. His laughter, his wisdom, and his unwavering support will live on in the hearts of those he touched.
