Don Lee Voss, 83, of Aurora, IL, passed away on September 21, 2025, at Bickford Senior Living of Aurora. He was born on November 5, 1941, in Aurora, IL, the son of the late James and Edna Voss.
Don was a man of Christian faith who grew up in North Aurora and graduated from West Aurora High School. He earned his Associates Degree from Lincoln College in Lincoln, IL and served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Don worked for the Aurora Beacon News for 29 years. In his retirement, Don enjoyed being a Helping Hand for the Dreyer Medical Clinics in Aurora and working as the courtesy car driver at Plum Landing Retirement Community. Don most enjoyed spending time with his family as well as spending his winter months in St. Augustine, Florida and summer weeks in Chetek, Wisconsin. He was an avid Chicago sports fan. Go White Sox!
Don is survived by his wife of 58 years, Cassandra Voss (nee Wilkey); his children, Pamela (David) Dodson and Kimberly (Jason) Lundberg; his grandchildren, Derek and Katelyn Dodson, Payton, Kailey, and Drew Lundberg; his sister, Kay Minard; two nieces and one nephew. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Funeral services will be private. The family would like to thank Bickford of Aurora and Angels Grace Hospice Care for the extraordinary care they provided our beloved husband, father, and grandfather
