In Loving Memory of DiEdra Omega Stinson

DiEdra Omega Stinson, fondly known as DiDi, graced this world with her presence, illuminating it with her infectious laughter and smile.  Born to Glenease and Neal Stinson Jr, in Chicago IL on July 17 1963, she had a beautiful smile that could light up any room.  She was the embodiment of sweetness and love.

She was preceded in death by her brother Gerald (Bill) D. Scruggs, her dad Neal Stinson Jr and her sister Sharol Lockett.

At the age of 13, DiEdra’s family relocated to Bolingbrook IL, where she attended Bolingbrook High School.  DiEdra was cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her, and her absence leaves a profound   void in all of our hearts.

Although DiEdra never married or bore biological children, her nurturing spirit shone brightly in her role as a guiding presence in the lives of her two nephews, Jerry and DeJuan, and two great nieces, Akira and Zafirah, whom she adored. She diligently assisted with their homework, ensured they were well cared for, and cheered them on at their various activities.  Her impact on their lives was immeasurable, a blessing we all shared.

A self -employed entrepreneur, DiDi was always eager to embrace new challenges. She had a profound love for reading, writing and a remarkable talent for designing exquisite furniture.  She would spend hours designing her creations until her health prevented her from continuing.

DiDi is survived by her devoted mother, Glenease, who lovingly cared for her over the years during her illness, and her beloved sisters, Sharron (Kaye) Ferrell (Granger Clark), Darcie Stinson and brother Keith Morgan.

She is also survived by a host of cousins, dear friends and relatives who love her and deeply mourn her loss.

DiEdra’s memory will forever shine in our hearts, her joyful spirit and loving nature serving as a guiding light for us all.

Though she may no longer be with us in person, her legacy of love and kindness continues to touch the lives of everyone she encountered.
