Diana Lee (Schuett) Gentry

Diana (Schuett) Gentry of Batavia, IL, age 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 1st, 2022. She was born on July 22, 1948, daughter of the late Eugene and Eleanor Schuett.

Diana enjoyed a wonderful career at Mooseheart until her retirement in 2019. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and working outside in her yard. Diana enjoyed crocheting and for each new grandchild or child of extended family members born, she would make a blanket for them. Diana was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church.

Perhaps Diana’s favorite thing to do was opening her home to family and friends for every holiday or special occasion. Everyone loved Diana’s cooking and baking, some specialties being her devilled eggs of her Lasagna recipe.

Diana is survived by her sons Branden (Andrea) of Aurora and Raymond of Hinckley, and daughter Katrina of Batavia; brother Jan(Judy) Schuett of Batavia, IL; grandchildren Nicholas, Ashleigh, Connor, Eamonn, Abby, Elayna and Dylan; many cousins; and her dear friend Theresa Opperman of Batavia, IL.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents; brothers Gene and Ross (Janet) Schuett; sister-in-law Barbara (Schuett) Mikol; and many other loved ones.

Funeral services will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, November 15th at 9:30 at Holy Cross Catholic Church at 2300 Main St in Batavia,

Followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30. Interment will follow at River Hills Memorial Park 1650 S River St, Batavia.
