On Tuesday, January 12, 2021, Mr. Bernard C. Walborn, Jr. went home to Heaven to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, after a 5-year battle with cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years Sherrel Walborn, two daughters, Rebecca K. (Kevin) Johnson of Yorkville and Sara L. (Brent) Snyder of Montgomery, four grandchildren Hannah Snyder, Luke Snyder, Ruth Johnson and Rachel Johnson, Nieces Launa Bode, Shelly Hill, a nephew Bryan Hill, and his sister-in-law Mrs. Claudyne Hill, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents Bernard C. Walborn Sr., Verna Walborn, and his brother Robert Walborn. He worked as a machinist from the age of 17 yrs. and spent over 25 yrs. at The Dial Corp. in Aurora, IL. He was incredibly talented in his work and loved working with stainless steel especially. Bernie served as a Junior Boys Sunday School teacher for several years, as well as church deacon and anything else he could do to help at Valley Baptist Church in Oswego. He loved his Lord, his family and helping others. Bernie touched so many lives in his 77 years on earth and will be missed by many. Due to Covid 19 interment will be private and a Memorial Service will be held at a later date. Please check back for the updated date.
