Arnold Smith Obituary

Arnold H. Smith Sr., age 90, son of Harvey and Vivian Smith was born on December 27, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. He departed this life on December 29, 2021.

Arnold attended Crane High School where he received his diploma. He was a Captain in the ROTC. He enjoyed singing opera and won first place in a contest on ABC radio.

Arnold is survived by his children Claudia Smith, Ivin Smith, Glenda Smith, Cornell Wallace, Pam Bailey, Myra Timmons, Ricky Wallace, Tony Wallace, Johnny Wallace, his daughters-in-law Mary Smith and Terry Rogers and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy Smith, his brother Harvey Smith, sons Carl Timmons, Arnold Smith Jr., Byron Smith, David Smith, Joe Kendricks (known as Butch), Mac Rogers (known as Sonny) and daughters Maxine Slater and Darla Wallace (known as CheeChee).
