April Ann Ellena -Maher, resident of Lancaster SC, died unexpectedly on September 9, 2023 at the age of 47 while visiting family outside of Chicago, IL.
April is survived by her parents Bill Ellena and Lorrie Miller(neeBlum); her husband Rich Maher; her children, Dylan Fishman, Zachary and Aubree Maher; her siblings, Allison Ellena and Sara Ellena; her stepsiblings; Patrick(Ami) Martin and Jennifer(Tug)Gillingham; nephews Keenan Martin, Ryan Martin and Scooter Gillingham: nieces Reina Martin, Emilija and Delaney Quirke and Sally Gillingham: granddaughter Rylie Fishman. She is predeceased by her stepmother, Mary Ellena; her grandparents Clarence and Mildred Ellena and Frank and Bevely Blum.
April was born on Seymour Johnson Air Force Base, Goldsboro, North Carolina on September 27,1975 to Bill Ellena and Lorrie Miller (nee Blum) She grew up in Green Trails Lisle, IL with her dad, stepmom and four siblings. On April 3, 2005, she married Rich, a loving and patient husband. Together they raised their three children Dylan Fishman, Zachary, and Aubree Maher.
April was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and grandmother that left Earth way too soon. She was an incredibly strong and hard-working woman that was always the first one to jump in and help anyone in need. Anyone who knew April, knew her as a loving, giving, generous, full-of-life woman that left a lasting impact on everyone she met. Everyone was guaranteed to smile and laugh when spending time with her. She was known as Auntie April or a second mom to every child she welcomed into her home. April enjoyed hosting and cooking for the masses whether it was a holiday or any average day of the week. She was most fulfilled when helping others and spending time with those she loved, April is beloved and will be missed by all.
