Allison M Thune

Allison Marie Thune, Age 40, passed away on January 26, 2021 with family by her side after a year long battle of Ovarian Cancer. She was the loving wife of Dr. Michael Thune and devoted mother of her two children. 
She is survived by her parents Dennis and Kathy Tackitt and sister Sarah Wagers. 
Allison earned a Bachelor of Arts in Music Education from Illinois Wesleyan University and a Masters in Choral Conducting from Butler University.  She first taught choral music at Roncalli High School (Indianapolis, IN).  Following her marriage to Michael, she taught in the Valley View School District of Illinois at Romeoville High School and two elementary schools. Her passions were choral music and motherhood.
A virtual memorial service will be held on Monday, February 1, 2021 by invitation. The family has requested that donations be made to The Autism Society in lieu of flowers.
