Al was dedicated to serving the Bolingbrook community, volunteering as a coach and referee for many youth sports for several decades as well as serving as an elected Commissioner on the Board of the Bolingbrook Park District for over 35 years.
His final two passions were an unwavering patriotic support of his country and a deep conviction for his beloved Chicago sports teams (Bears, Blackhawks, Bulls and White Sox).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bolingbrook Lions Foundation, an organization Al belonged to and supported for many decades.
